Meet Lolita

Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern (NC State University)

Hi! I'm Lolita Smith-Moore, and I'm thrilled to be a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at Faith, Prosperity, & Change PLLC. With 16 years in public health, my expertise spans diverse areas such as overall health and wellness, trauma and adverse childhood experiences, adolescent parenting, early childhood, chronic diseases, preconception and reproductive health, sexual health, tobacco cessation, breast cancer, and rare conditions.

Rasheeka and her practice align perfectly with my commitment to a holistic approach to mental health and I am honored to have the opportunity to learn from someone with such a wealth of expertise.

My counseling philosophy centers on creating a safe and nonjudgmental space for honest self-exploration. As I embark on my practicum and internship, I look forward to working with adults on topics like trauma, depression, anxiety, identity, and self-care. I aim to offer services free of charge.

Personally, I'm a proud mom of three, including a child on the autism spectrum, and a joyful Mimi to three grandsons. Music is one of my passions, and I love weaving it into my work.

Beyond public health and counseling, you'll find me enjoying time with family, cooking, exploring new places, and indulging in research for fun.

Feel free to engage with me via Instagram @WellnessWithLolo.   Excited to begin this journey with you!

Lolita is currently accepting clients! She will begin utilizing Brainspotting Therapy in February
